Concept:
* Develop specifications if not already available
* Select foundry to meet the specification requirements
Design and Validation:
* Design the core in RTL using Verilog or VHDL
* Develop test bench
* Verify Static Timing Analysis
* Design for Test and generate test vector suite
* Perform functional verification with test vector code coverage
* Perform Fault simulation
Layout and Post Layout Testing:
* Layout chip at the foundry
* Interface with ASIC foundry for release of the design
* Verify timing against back annotated placement
* Modify design and relayout to meet timing requirements as necessary
Production:
* Prototype validation
* Provide delivered chips
